MAP, ISIC Sign Partnership Agreement

The Maghreb Arab News Agency (MAP) and the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) signed a partnership agreement in Rabat on July 26, 2024, with the aim of creating conditions conducive to the proposal and/or development of areas of cooperation deemed to be of mutual interest by both parties.
The agreement was signed by MAP Director General Fouad Arif and ISIC Director Abdellatif Bensfia at the graduation ceremony for the Higher Institute of Information and Communication’s class of 2023-2024.
The agreement covers the design of initial and continuing training programs for MAP journalists, as well as studies and research topics in the two institutions’ areas of specialization.
It also provides for the creation of a special prize in collaboration with MAP to promote the professional excellence of ISIC graduates in the field of agency journalism, as well as the involvement of the Maghreb Arab News Agency in national and international academic activities organized by ISIC, and the granting of internship opportunities to ISIC students and researchers.
Speaking on this occasion, Arif stressed that this agreement confirms the commitment of both parties to strengthening cooperation between media and academic institutions, so as to contribute to the development of the capacities and skills of young people wishing to work in journalism and communication, emphasizing the importance of this field in consolidating the Kingdom’s march towards progress.
The cooperation between MAP and ISIC will open up new prospects for students, while offering them the opportunity to acquire further expertise and knowledge that will be of great benefit to them during their academic career, added Arif, affirming that MAP is committed to remaining an open space for all of the Institute’s graduates, to enable them to boost their skills and facilitate their transition from the academic training phase to that of professional practice.
Under the terms of this agreement, the two parties undertake, insofar as possible and in accordance with the laws in force, to mobilize the human, material, scientific and technical resources at their disposal to achieve the objectives and actions defined by mutual agreement.
